LoFI (Ladies of Film and Media Industry) saw its first Media Arts Festival on May 21st, 2021 with awards to the following category (Best Audio, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Production Design, Best Acting Reel, Best Cinematography, Best Video Journalism, Best Director, Best TV Project, Best Documentary, and Best Narrative). Our event was inspired by the Oscars ceremony. All winners received an Oscar depicting a shooting star.

LoFI is proud to advocate and advance the career of women in all positions in the film & media industry which in the past women have been underrepresented. It is the perfect support group that will help women feel at ease and confident moving forward with their craft.

We are proud of all the nominees bringing to screen: character-driven stories from women’s perspective and from the LGBTQ community. We encourage all women to "SUBMIT" and enter your projects no matter how small or seemingly unfinished. We encourage each other as artists not to wait for perfection but just do the work, don’t give up, go for it, don’t hold back, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. For that’s how we all learn.
